Biophysical scoring with non-stress testing

4,500.00

Biophysical scoring, specifically the Biophysical Profile (BPP), assesses fetal well-being through ultrasound measurements of breathing, movement, tone, and amniotic fluid, with results added to a Non-Stress Test (NST) score to give a total score from 0-10. A “reactive” NST (fetal heart rate accelerates with movement) is given 2 points, while a “non-reactive” one gets 0 points.

A final BPP score of 8–10 is generally normal, while lower scores may indicate fetal distress and require more evaluation or intervention.
